It's one of the first symbol of christ called 1. constantine cross or 2. Chi Rho or 3. Labarum cross or 4. Christus Monogramma (monogram of Christ)
The XP means Χριστός (Christos). X (Chi) P (Rho). Is also called Pax Christi. Pax is Peace. Christus brings peace.

Well if noone knows the meaning, i think you have to know it if you use it...
I'm new and always glad to help.
I have no deviations yet though.
The greek alpha on top is often shown together with the letter omega and symbolises Christ (see: revelation 1,8 ; 21,6 ; 22,13) the main symbol is the anchor another christian symbol also refers to christ.

Oh I know what it means, its one of the first Christian monograms, it means : "Christ, the beginning and the end" I just didnt know wether it came from the latin, English, or Greek christians. Thanks anyway, and thanks for the note.
